here is something i spilled out in about two minutes...and, yes, it shows about as much thought as that two minutes. not so good, but i do like the first verse...perhaps this will soon become a song, once i get around to tomorrow. ideas/reactions/comments are eagerly yearned for!

hier ist ein denklos lied...na, es ist noch nicht ein lied, aber vielleicht morgen...oder uebermorgen...ai--mein schwedisch kommt zu mir jetzt mehr als mein deutsch. i hab' dieses lied nicht so gern, aber vielleicht mit ein bisschen arbeit es wird besser. hilfe ist begruesst!

i was swallowed by the lake last night

coming down through slick weeds
images of my face sifting through the murkiness
to the fish that flit by
oblivious of my name

wavering sun plays with my eyelashes
does skin still pucker after you're gone?

perhaps i am not gone,
the lilyweeds entwined in my fingers
their flowers' petals opening with the same silence
of my breath, full of water
though they are tucked away far above
